Their Story
Sometimes you don’t find what you’re looking for. You find something even better.
Sometimes you’re born a fry and wake up on a napkin to a world that is completely unknown to you. To make it even harder, you might be alone and have to figure out every single thing for yourself. But, sometimes you have a friend to share it all with. These fries go on one exciting adventure after the next , right in a kitchen. They have a mission and trying to accomplish it sparks lots of fun and learning along the way! Do they even accomplish it? Who knows. Does it even matter?
“Why do I think this tastes like the ocean? Hey, what even is the ocean?”
FryPie was drawn with pencil, marker, and acrylic paint by Alexa Saulino. Originally written and illustrated in 2007, and made into a real book in 2020. It was done mostly at night when her kids were asleep, or during the day while they were also painting, drawing, or building stuff.
